Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 August 2026
Countling does not collect your personal information. It has no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking, and it never connects to the internet. What follows is the detail.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information through Countling. There is no sign-up, no profile, and no way to identify you. We do not know who uses Countling, how often, or what anyone calculates.
Countling makes no network connections. Everything the app needs, including its fonts and sounds, is built into it. That is why it works the same on a plane as it does at home — and it is also why there is no channel through which your information could reach us.
Information stored on your device
So that Countling looks the way you left it, the app saves a few preferences in your device's own storage:
- the character you last chose
- whether sound is turned off
These stay on your device. They are not transmitted anywhere, and we have no means of reading them. Deleting Countling removes them.
Purchases
Characters can be purchased inside Countling. Apple processes those transactions. We do not receive your name, payment card, or billing address at any point, and we cannot see them. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Third parties
Countling contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking software. No company receives information about you because of your use of this app, because no information is sent.
Children
Countling is suitable for all ages and carries a 4+ rating. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. There is no sign-up, no messaging, no user-generated content, no advertising, and no way for anyone to contact anyone else through the app.
Purchases follow whatever approval settings are already on the device, such as Apple's Ask to Buy.
Your rights
Data protection laws give you rights over personal information a company holds about you, including the right to see it, correct it, and have it deleted. We hold no personal information about you, so there is none to provide, amend, or erase. To remove the preferences saved on your device, delete the app.
If you would like to confirm any of this, please get in touch.
Changes to this policy
If Countling's handling of information ever changes, this page will be updated before the version that changes it is released, and the date at the top will be revised. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
